Everyone's Resume Looks Better On LinkedIn - Ever Wonder Why?

The other day, I was wondering how come everyone I meet that has a page on LinkedIn looks so great when you read their resumes, and when you meet someone in the real world you are so underwhelmed with their lack industry knowledge, expertise, and know how. As I got to thinking about this while I was sitting at Starbucks the other day and I met someone who appeared to be somewhat inept, but I engaged them in conversation anyway - I asked them for their card, and then I looked them up online, and sure enough they had a page on LinkedIn.
